Bexhill Lions had a total of 15 marshals deployed along the routes with key positions having radios. This is the fifth year running that we have taken responsibility for manning the many temporary road closures to enable the Civic Parade to take place.
The impressive Parade consisted of Veterans, members of the Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, cadets, Scouts, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows. There were also a significant number of youth groups, and young people paying their respects.
Bexhill turned out in force with a huge crowd attending the Remembrance Service.
The Royal British Legion thanked the Lions for their support saying that without our help the Parade could not take place.
Lion President Andrea Etheridge added “Many, many thanks to everyone who turned out to marshal the Parade this morning.
I felt very proud and privileged to represent our great club and to lay a wreath on your behalf. Seeing those Hi Viz jackets en route made me feel even more proud of the outstanding work we …. you …. do. THANK YOU.”
