Competition Organiser, Stella Harris announced that pupils at local Primary schools have been recognised for their artistic talent in the latest Junior Schools Peace Poster Competition.
The winner from Glenleigh Park was Lily Wilcox and the All Saints winner was Heidi Haffenden. The photographs show the winners with their certificates and the runners up at the awards ceremony at each school.
Stella commented and the aim is to encourage young people to think about what peace means to them and to express that feeling as a piece of art. The standard was very high and choosing a winner was very difficult. We would like to thank the hundreds of children who took part for all their efforts and are also extremely grateful for the support of the schools and from the staff involved.”
