It is a great honour to have been elected President of Bexhill Lions Club for the 2026/27 Lions year.
With more than 50 years of Lions service in Bexhill behind us, I am incredibly proud to be part of a club with such a strong history of supporting our local community. As we look to the year ahead, I want us to build on that history while embracing new ideas, new opportunities and, most importantly, new people.
My aim for this year is simple: to make it a year of excitement, growth, friendship and service.
There is so much we can achieve when we work together. I want to see our club continuing to support the people and organisations that make Bexhill such a wonderful place to live, while also finding new ways to make a positive difference. Just as importantly, I want us to have fun along the way!
Lions is about people coming together, sharing their skills and passions, building friendships and turning those passions into meaningful service. The Global Membership Approach reminds us that growing our membership gives us more opportunities to serve — and that is something I would love to see Bexhill Lions embrace this year.
Whether you have been a Lion for many years, have recently joined us, or have simply wondered what Lions is all about, there is a place for you in our club. You don’t have to know everything about Lions or commit to doing everything — just bring your enthusiasm, your ideas and your willingness to help.
Our Facebook page will continue to showcase our fundraising activities, community projects and the difference our club is making locally. We hope it will also give you a glimpse of the friendships, laughter and enjoyment that come from being part of Bexhill Lions.
So, as we begin another Lions year, I invite you to join us. Come along to an event, get involved in a project, introduce yourself, or simply have a chat with one of our members.
