PRESIDENT’S GREETING

Welcome! and thank you for visiting our website

As we know, the past year has been a difficult and challenging time for everybody. As an organisation, the Lions’ motto is “We Serve” and we have been doing just that. Immediate Past President Simon Edwards encouraged the club to adopt new ways of working. We attracted new members and found new ways of raising funds, having meetings and socialising, whilst still supporting those in need, where we could.

Taking on the role of President to uphold the Lions Code of Ethics and serve the community is a great honour. It is especially true this year as we will be celebrating 50 years of serving the Bexhill community, having been formed on 3rd August 1971.

The Club has energetic members with exciting ideas for new FUNdraising and Community events which will be held during the year. These will be in addition to many of our established events. We will focus on Youth, the Environment and Health and will continue our support of community events and consider requests for donations to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We aim to to make a difference wherever and whenever we can.

Being a Lion is gratifying and we have fun organising and running exciting and memorable activities. Our members are local people who understand local needs. We are a friendly club that works hard and one that has a great varied social calendar. We love to make things happen.

New members are the life blood of any club and I would encourage you to explore or website and visit our Facebook page to get a real feel as to what we do.

If you have an interest in improving the wellbeing of our local community and have fun doing it, do get in touch for a chat. Just call Lion Rick on 0345 833 9591

We look forward to talking to you about getting involved.

Bexhill Lions   in the community….for the community

Kind regards

Lion President Richard Winrow MJF
