As Lion Steve starts his journey the first image is a fading day and the anticipation of a great ride off to Dieppe on our adventure. Day 2 here is Steve in Dieppe at the start of his epic bike ride. 15 miles in @ Chateaux a Mesniers. Day 3 60 miles to go from the village of St Aubin en Bray. THE OFF!!
Lion Steve Allen will be cycling from Brighton to Paris to raise funds for Bexhill Lions Club. Steve, together with a couple of friends, will leave Brighton on Friday 21stJune and travel to Newhaven to catch the ferry to Dieppe. Early on Saturday they will set off on their first leg of 95km to Saint-Aubin-en-Bray. The following day will take them on a 121km route to Paris. They will cycle along the Seine through the Arc de Triomphe and end near the Gard du Nord. That evening they will relax before returning the following morning by Eurostar. Steve commented “I’m looking forward to the challenge and also to enjoy the route which is mainly on “B” roads. Since joining Lions I have seen the great work they do and the range of good causes they help. The money raised will all go towards helping and supporting the Bexhill Community.”
