Andrea Etheridge, President of Bexhill Lions Club has thanked the local community for their support of the Clubs’ Christmas Appeal during December.
This year the Club’s was from street collections, Christmas hamper luck draws supported by 16 local retail outlets, pubs, and restaurants. There were also in store collections at Tesco and a first for this year, a Santa’s Grotto hosted by the Picture Playhouse on three consecutive Saturdays. Lion Sue Cassell said ” this proved to be a great success and 109 children visited Santa and received a gift and luck dip. We had great support from Becky the Manager and were also able to sell tickets for our hampers on each day.”
Andrea added “We are so grateful for the support we received and can guarentee that every penny raised will be used for good causes. I would like to thank all the traders who were involved this year and also to the dedicated and hardworking members of Bexhill Lions Club and the Friends of Bexhill Lions.”
