Dianne Ryan was formally inducted as a member of the Club at the January zoom Business meeting and was given a warm welcome by members.
Dianne moved to Bexhill 18 months ago when her son was relocated from Hertfordshire supported living to residential provision in an excellent Prader Willi care home.
She decided to retire from a teaching career spanning 30 years, 10 as a Head Teacher, in special schools, to be near to him. She chose Bexhill and then Covid happened.
Dianne commented “I have continued to work, virtually, as the Professional Officer for the 19 special schools In Essex as well as being a tutor for trainee teachers in Essex. Gradually I am making contact with the local community, despite the lockdown restrictions, and have become a school governor for a local school.”
Why join the Lions?
“I have always believed in the importance of local community groups and was fortunate enough to find the contact for the Lions.
I have really appreciated the warm welcome from the Lions. I am looking forward to supporting fundraising and identify other ways I can make a positive contribution to Bexhill as well as the other global aims of the Lions.”
