The Club was delighted to be invited to participate in the town’s first Covid Remembrance Day, held on March 19th.

Local charities and representatives of Churches, the NHS, Care Homes and other  voluntary groups came together with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, the Mayor , the Chair of Rother District Council and other local dignitaries.

It was an occasion to reflect but more importantly to recognise the way in which individuals and groups came together to provide support during the lockdown.

We had also been asked to bring along some of our Flamingos as these had brought a lot of joy and happiness to many people during this time.

These working relationships continue today in many forms across the town including; support groups, health awareness, friendship clubs as well as social and activity forums.C
