Bexhill Lions Club will have its Gazebo at the Coronation Bandstand Official Launch this weekend, the 1st & 2nd April.
If you have unwanted glasses or hearing aids bring them along so that they can be recycled for further use.
They are sent to Chichester Lions where the spectacles are expertly sorted by Lions members and volunteers and sent on to Medico France where they are cleaned and graded for use in eye camps in Africa, India, and Eastern Europe.
Dr Michael Nolan, Audiological Consultant volunteers on the Lions Clubs Hearing Aid recycling programme. He receives donations for sorting and refurbishment. These are then used to help adults and children with hearing impairment living in over 30 countries, including: Colombia, Chile, Peru, Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana. A simple donation can transform a persons life after they receive the recycled hearing equipment.
At the stand you will also be able to learn about the Club’s FUNdraising events, its social activities and how it helps the local community, in so many ways.
