Bexhill Lions Club is thanking residents for their support over the past month for donating unwanted CDs, DVDs and books in good condition. Over £1,200 has been raised by sending items to Ziffit.com, a free online media buying website.
Rob Jones, Head of Fundraising said “By using the barcode we get an instant quote for each item and if they will buy it we box them up and arrange collection.
We are extremely grateful to Bexhill residents for their support which has raised this tremendous amount of money. This will be used for our continued support of the Bexhill community.”
Many of the items that were not sent to Ziffit are being donated to local Charities including Warming up the Homeless.
Lion President Simon Edwards added ” This has been a great new initiative for the Club. We are now looking at holding collections on a monthly basis, so do visit or Facebook page and website for details.
As COVID-19 restrictions are lifted you will see us at many Bexhill events. We are also organising some new exciting Fundraising events of our own, in addition to our popular “You’ve been Flamingoed”.
